Teachers' Day Celebrations at Dharmapuri School:
Teachers' Day was celebrated on 5th September, to honour the teachers and also give them a good time.

At Dharmapuri School, The students greeted the teachers with flowers, handmade cards and chocolates as they entered the school. After lighting of traditional lamp, a game session was organized for the teachers. Kids loved seeing their teachers running and jostling to win. The games ended around 10.30 am, and this was followed by normal classes till 2.30 pm.

The students eagerly awaited the cultural session, since the teachers were going to perform for a change. In his speec, the School Principal Mr. Umapati spoke about India's ex-President Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is celebrated as Teachers' Day. He also expanded on the role of a teacher in everyone's life.

The teachers put up a medley of performances - dances, song, mimicry, a skit etc. What a colourful session this was and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. Two performances clearly stood out – the dance by the science teacher with one leg tied, and the performance with fire on a cycle wheel by the PET teacher.

The celebrations came to an end with students presenting gifts to their teachers. They loved the fact that, for a change, they were the ones giving gifts.
